Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons for nursery-aged children
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play
  • Assess and monitor children's progress, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with other nursery staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with nursery-aged children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of early childhood development principles
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Early Years Education
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

The role involves working with nursery-aged children in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The teacher may need to bend, stoop, lift, and engage in physical activities with the children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
