Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and educational lessons to young children in a nursery setting
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play
  • Monitor and assess children's progress and development
  • Collaborate with parents and colleagues to support the overall development of each child
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with young children
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a nursery or early years setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Ability to create and implement age-appropriate learning activities
  • Strong behaviour management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications in child development or early childhood education
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

The role involves working with young children in a nursery setting, which may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of children. The working hours are full-time, and the position is temporary.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
