We are looking for a qualified Nursery Teacher to join a local authority-maintained nursery that offers high-quality early education to children aged 2, 3, and 4 years. This nursery has a strong reputation and a consistent record of ‘Outstanding’ ratings in Ofsted inspections, reflecting its commitment to excellence in early years education.
Job Description
As a Nursery Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting young children on their learning journey, helping them develop confidence, enthusiasm, and foundational skills through play-based activities. You’ll be part of a collaborative team of experienced professionals, all dedicated to nurturing each child’s natural curiosity and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging, play-based lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Create interactive and stimulating environments that encourage exploration and discovery
- Support children’s personal, social, and emotional growth, as well as early literacy and numeracy development
- Work collaboratively with other early years staff to maintain high standards of teaching and care
- Build positive relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress
- Contribute to the enhancement of both indoor and outdoor learning spaces
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience in early years education is preferred, though newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply
- Full-time availability, 5 days per week
- A strong passion for early childhood education and development
