Job Duties:

  • Assisting with the care and supervision of children in a nursery or educational setting
  • Supporting the lead teacher in delivering educational activities
  • Creating a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play
  • Helping with meal times, nappy changes, and other basic care tasks
  • Communicating effectively with parents and colleagues

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
  • Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
  • First Aid certification

Education:

GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with children in a nursery or school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when dealing with children

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
  • Additional training in SEN (Special Educational Needs) support

Working Conditions:

  • Regular interaction with children, parents, and other staff members
  • Some physical activity required, such as bending, lifting, and kneeling

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
