Protocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Nurse to join a friendly and professional team at a day nursery in Harlow. If you’re passionate about early childhood development and enjoy making a positive impact on young children's lives, we’d love to hear from you!

As a Nursery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5. You’ll help foster their learning and development, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth through play and structured activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care for children aged 0-5, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness at all times. ️
  • Support children’s development by planning and leading age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and independence.
  • Work with the nursery team to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, helping children develop in all key areas.
  • Observe and document children’s progress, helping to tailor learning experiences to meet their individual needs.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff, creating an open, supportive, and inclusive nursery environment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment, following health and safety and safeguarding guidelines.
  • Promote positive behavior through guidance and support, encouraging social skills, cooperation, and respect for others.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a nursery or childcare setting, with a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • A passion for early years education and an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • A warm, friendly, and patient approach to working with children, with the ability to create a fun and positive environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with children, parents, and the wider team.
  • A proactive, adaptable attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and the ability to ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
