We are looking for a Nursery Assistant to work within nurseries in Tendring and surrounding areas, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a variety of nursery settings expanding on current knowledge. 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience working with children is essential.
  • A patient and calm attitude.
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations.
  • Excellent communiction both written and verbally. 
  • Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare) are desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of a diverse range of activities that promote learning and development.
  • Support the day-to-day care of children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for children, following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to senior staff and parents.
  • Help with feeding, changing, and comforting children as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
