As a Supply Nursery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day activities of various nurseries in Harlow. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. This flexible role allows you to work on an as-needed basis, giving you the opportunity to gain experience in different settings and work with diverse groups of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of activities that support the development of children.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and nursery staff.
  • Support the individual needs of children, including those with special educational needs.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
  • A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work in different nursery environments.
  • A commitment to the welfare and development of children.
  • An up-to-date DBS check or willingness to obtain one through Protocol Education.
