Job Duties:

  • Assist Norwegian-speaking students in understanding English language lessons
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require extra help
  • Assist the lead teacher in preparing lesson materials
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents

Required Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Norwegian and English languages
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team

Education:

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Prior experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of educational principles and practises
  • Patience and empathy when working with students
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching assistant certification or relevant training
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

This role will involve working in a classroom environment, following the school's schedule and academic calendar. The teaching assistant may be required to work additional hours as needed to support students and teachers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
