Job Title: Music Teacher- Residential Primary School SEMH Needs

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to primary school students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the specific requirements of SEMH students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to provide integrated educational experiences

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in Music Education
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school setting - Experience working with students with SEMH needs

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of SEMH educational strategies - Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions:

- Work within a residential primary school environment - Regular interaction with students, parents, and other school staff - Full-Time hours with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities for school events or performances

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
