Job Duties:
The MFL Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lessons in Modern Foreign Languages to students. This includes creating engaging and interactive learning experiences, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to support their development. The teacher must maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance, collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum, and participate in school events and meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Modern Foreign Languages or relevant field
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
Education:
A degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related field is required.
Experience:
Prior experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages in a school setting is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Fluency in the target language(s)
- Understanding of language acquisition principles
- Effective classroom management techniques
- Proficient IT skills for lesson planning and delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Modern Foreign Languages
- Additional language qualifications or certifications
Working Conditions:
The MFL Teacher will work full-time hours on a temporary basis, following the school calendar. The role may involve occasional extracurricular activities, parent meetings, and professional development sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
