Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Provide one-on-one support to students experiencing mental health challenges
- Create and implement individualised support plans for students
- Offer guidance and assistance in coping strategies and stress management techniques
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with mental health issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Education:
Ideal but not essential woud be a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counselling
Experience:
Ideally previous experience in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of mental health issues affecting students in an educational setting
- Ability to develop and implement support plans tailored to individual needs
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in mental health first aid
- Experience working in a school or educational environment
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily within the school setting
- Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents
- Potential for occasional evening or weekend work for events or meetings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
