Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging media lessons to students
- Create a stimulating and interactive learning environment
- Assess and evaluate student progress
- Provide constructive feedback to students
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Media Studies or related field
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies or related field
Experience:
Previous experience teaching media studies at the secondary or post-secondary level
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of media theory and practise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Media Studies or Education
- Experience using multimedia technology in teaching
Working Conditions:
The Media Teacher will work in a school setting, following the academic calendar and schedule. The role may involve some extracurricular activities and occasional evening events.
