Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance learning
  • Establish a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Maths

Education:

Degree in Mathematics or related field

Experience:

  • Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary school level
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of Maths concepts and principles
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Maths specialism
  • Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a school setting, following the academic calendar. Standard working hours are expected, with occasional additional hours for lesson planning and assessments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
