Protocol Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher/Instructor to join a dynamic specialist provision in Hornchurch. This role offers the chance to transform lives and make a meaningful impact on young people aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated complex challenges.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on Maths lessons that spark curiosity and build skills.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
  • Use your expertise in de-escalation strategies and classroom management to create a calm and focused space for learning.
  • Partner with colleagues and families to ensure every student thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A deep understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Maths and how to tailor it for diverse learners.
  • At least 2 years’ experience teaching at the Secondary level.
  • A passion for working with students with SEMH needs and the robustness to manage challenging behaviour with patience and empathy.
  • Ideally QTS or PGCE
