Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant

Role Overview:
As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the Maths Department and enhancing the learning experience of our students. Your responsibilities will include assisting in lesson delivery, preparing educational materials, providing personalized student support, and contributing to the overall academic environment. This position is ideal for a recent maths graduate passionate about education and looking to make a tangible impact on students' academic journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Maths Department in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support students in their learning, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Help prepare teaching materials and resources.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions.
  • Assist with grading assignments and exams.
  • Participate in department meetings and school events.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in mathematics or a related field.
  • A passion for mathematics and education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Demonstrated commitment to education and personal growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
