About the Role:
Are you an enthusiastic educator with a passion for making Maths and English come alive for students? We are seeking a dedicated Maths & English Tutor to support students within the Redcar area, providing targeted academic support that helps students excel in these core subjects. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide High-Quality Tuition: Deliver engaging one-to-one or small group tutoring sessions in Maths and English for students of varying abilities, ensuring a deep understanding of key concepts.
- Personalise Learning: Assess each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, creating tailored lesson plans that meet their individual learning needs and goals.
- Foster Academic Growth: Support students in building essential skills, preparing for exams, and achieving their academic targets through focused teaching and practice.
- Track and Report Progress: Regularly monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
- Promote Effective Study Habits: Guide students in developing effective study techniques, homework strategies, and time management skills.
- Engage with Parents/Guardians: Maintain open communication with parents/guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Mathematics, English, Education, or a related field would be desirable.
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring Maths and English at primary, secondary, or GCSE level.
- Strong understanding of the curriculum and key teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Familiarity with online tutoring tools and educational technology.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
