Job Duties:

  • Develop and deliver engaging mathematics lessons to students, incorporating a variety of teaching strategies and resources.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the mathematics curriculum, sharing best practises and innovative ideas to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, staying up-to-date with advancements in teaching methodologies and technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the mathematics curriculum, with the ability to effectively teach and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Strong classroom management skills, maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment for all students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Mathematics
  • Experience integrating technology into mathematics instruction to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting, with the potential for involvement in extracurricular activities.
  • Full-time hours, with the potential for additional hours during busy periods.
