Protocol education are currently seeking a dedicated Level 3+ Nursery Practitioner to join the team in a Toddler room at a nursery in East Central Bristol, where you will help create a safe and nurturing environment for their youngest learners. They are a not-for-profit organisation supporting children from all backgrounds by giving them a hand to hold as they start their learning journey.

Role Overview:
As a Nursery Practitioner in the Toddler room, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and learning experiences for children aged 2-3 years. This is a crucial stage in early childhood development, and you will play an integral role in supporting the children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development through play-based learning. You will work closely with a supportive team to create a stimulating and secure environment for all children in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and education for children 2-3 years old, in a warm and nurturing environment
  • Observe and support the development of toddlers through play and age-appropriate activities
  • Help toddlers develop essential skills, including socialization, communication, and motor skills
  • Create and maintain detailed records of children’s progress and development
  • Work closely with parents to ensure the needs of each child are met and share regular updates on their development
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times
  • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating baby room that supports the children’s learning

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent) or higher
  • Previous experience working with toddlers in an early years setting
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • A genuine passion for working with babies and supporting their early development
  • Ability to observe, assess, and plan activities for babies to foster their growth
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this)
