Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Supervising and caring for children aged between 0-5 years in a nursery setting
  • Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities
  • Assessing children's development and communicating progress with parents
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Supporting children's emotional and social development

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification
  • Valid DBS check
  • Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

Education:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years education

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a nursery setting
  • Experience in planning and delivering activities for young children

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of child development theories
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paediatric First Aid qualification
  • SEN training

Working Conditions:

  • Work hours may vary, including early mornings and occasional weekends
  • Physical ability to supervise and engage with young children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
