Job Duties:

  • Providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years
  • Creating a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children
  • Planning and implementing activities that promote learning and development
  • Monitoring and recording children's progress and behaviour
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance
  • First Aid certification

Education:

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience working in a nursery setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) qualification
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

This role involves working with young children and may require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. The nursery operates Monday to Friday during standard business hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
