Job Title: Primary Early Years Level 3 Teaching Assistant


Location: Sutton, Carshalton, Wallington.


Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours (8:30am-3:30pm)

Job Duties:

• Assist the primary teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students
• Implementing strategies for behaviour management
• Provide support in phonics, PECS, cued articulation, and British Sign Language
• Utilise bar modelling techniques to aid in teaching mathematical concepts

Required Qualifications:
Level 3 Teaching and Learning in schools

Education:
Minimum of Level 3 Teaching and Learning in schools qualification

Experience:
Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong understanding of phonics and behaviour management techniques
• Proficiency in PECS, cued articulation, and British Sign Language
• Familiarity with bar modelling for teaching mathematical concepts

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications in relevant areas of education and special needs support

Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a primary school environment, supporting teachers and students during school hours. The candidate may need to adapt to the changing needs of the classroom and provide assistance as required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
