Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of children in the early years setting
  • Provide a safe and stimulating environment that facilitates learning and development
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress and share this information with parents and colleagues
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the setting
  • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the welfare of children

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification
  • Valid DBS check
  • First Aid certification

Education:

Minimum of Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification

Experience:

Previous experience working in an early years setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong observational and assessment skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in child development or early years education
  • Experience with special educational needs (SEN)

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours in an early years setting
  • Temporary position
  • Work in accordance with the setting's policies and procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
