Job Duties:

  • Assist in the care and supervision of children in the nursery
  • Support the Nursery Teacher in planning and implementing activities
  • Ensure a safe and stimulating environment for children
  • Help with feeding, changing, and general care tasks
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
  • Valid DBS check
  • Basic First Aid certification

Education:

Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education

Experience:

Prior experience working in a nursery or childcare setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a nursery setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
  • Experience with children with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, temporary position
  • Work in a nursery setting with young children
  • Possible exposure to illnesses and challenging behaviours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
