Are you passionate about empowering young learners and supporting their journey to success? Protocol Education is excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join a fantastic Primary School in Colchester. As an LSA, you’ll play a key role in helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and foster a love of learning!

You’ll work closely with teachers and students in the classroom, providing tailored support to ensure every child has the tools they need to succeed. Whether it’s helping with literacy, numeracy, or general classroom activities, your role will be vital in ensuring every student feels supported and encouraged.


Key Responsibilities:

Support Learning: Assist teachers in delivering lessons and provide 1:1 or small group support for students who may need additional help.
Encourage Student Growth: Support children in developing key skills, including confidence, social development, and academic abilities.
Track Progress: Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers, ensuring every child receives the right level of support.
Positive Classroom Environment: Foster an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere where children feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn.
Collaborate with Teachers: Work alongside educators to implement individual learning strategies and assist in planning engaging activities.


What We’re Looking For:

Experience: Previous experience in a learning support or child-focused role is a plus, but a genuine enthusiasm for working with children is what matters most!
Patience & Empathy: A positive, patient attitude and the ability to connect with children, particularly those who may need extra support.
Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with students, staff, and parents to ensure smooth interactions and progress tracking.
Adaptability: Flexibility to assist with different subjects and learning styles, providing tailored support to students.
Qualifications: While a teaching assistant qualification is ideal, it's not essential—your passion and commitment are key!
