Protocol Education our working with a three form entry primary school in Brislington, South Bristol to appoint a Learning Support Assistant.

We are looking for:
- An enthusiastic, empathetic and hardworking Learning Support Assistant.
- A highly flexible and adaptable individual who is able and willing to work across the primary phase.
- A commitment to supporting all pupils, both academically and pastorally.
- A recognition of the need to make adjustments to support those pupils with special educational needs.
- The ability to cover various roles including in class support, small group and individual learning interventions, 1 to 1 individual support for pupils and lunchtime supervision.
- A resilient practitioner with the skills and empathy needed to support high needs pupils, including some who may display challenging behaviour.
The successful applicant will take overall direction from the class teacher and SENDCO but will also be confident to make independent decisions to vary and adapt activities and strategies in the best interests of the child.
You will:
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Have high and consistent expectations of behaviour
- Have some experience of working effectively in an educational setting
- Be creative, resilient and energetic
- Be a great team player
- Be committed to supporting pupils with special educational needs
- Be adaptable and flexible
- Have GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Promote the values of our school and uphold the school’s code of conduct

Pay rate is dependent on experience & qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
