Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – South Shields

What We’re Looking For:

  • Someone who is proactive, adaptable, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A flexible individual who is willing to support teachers and students in a range of classroom activities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage behavior positively and constructively.
  • A positive attitude and a desire to learn and grow in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students, particularly those with additional learning needs.
  • Assisting in delivering lessons and supporting children in various activities.
  • Helping to create a safe and supportive classroom environment.
  • Supporting students in developing social and emotional skills.
  • Monitoring and tracking progress, providing feedback to teachers, and contributing to regular assessments.
  • Helping with classroom management and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A degree in any subject is desirable but not essential.
