We’re seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a wonderful primary school in Colchester starting January 2025. This full-time role offers the exciting possibility of transitioning into a permanent position.

Your Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
✨ Work 1:1 with a child with SEN, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised interventions and adapt learning resources.
Build a nurturing relationship to help the child grow in confidence, independence, and engagement.
Support the child in developing social skills and positive interactions with their peers.
Help create a welcoming, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • ️ Strong communication skills to work effectively with the child, staff, and parents.
  • Creativity and flexibility to adapt to the needs of the child.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate) or a willingness to train.
