About the Role:
We’re looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant who thrives in a creative and inclusive environment. This role focuses on creating a happy, positive atmosphere where all children can achieve their best. You’ll be working hands-on with students, especially those with SEN, helping them grow academically and socially.
✨ Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 Support – Offer personalised assistance to SEN students in the classroom, ensuring they feel supported and engaged.
- Collaborate with Teachers – Assist teachers in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs), adapting your approach to meet each student’s unique needs.
- Positive Behaviour Management – Use positive reinforcement and behaviour management strategies to help de-escalate challenges, promoting a calm learning environment.
- Build Strong Relationships – Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each student’s education, keeping detailed records of their progress.
- Create a Welcoming Environment – Help foster a positive, inclusive classroom where all students feel accepted and ready to learn.

Requirements:
- Right to Work in the UK – A must-have for this role.
- Valid DBS Check – Or willingness to apply for one.
- SEN Experience – Prior experience working with students with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- Adaptability & Patience – Understanding different learning styles and adapting your approach as needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
