What You’ll Be Doing:
One-to-One Support: Provide dedicated, personalised support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities, helping them overcome challenges and reach their potential.
Implement IEPs: Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), tailoring learning strategies to suit each student's unique needs.
✏️ Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with classroom teachers to deliver tailored lesson plans that support and engage all students.
Support & Care: Help with behavior management, personal care, and provide emotional and practical support to ensure a positive learning experience.
Promote Inclusion: Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.


What You’ll Bring:
Experience: Previous experience working with students who have special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, staff, and parents.
Team Player: You’re a collaborative team member, always ready to support and share ideas.
Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies to ensure student well-being.


Your Background:
Education: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths.
Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within an educational setting, working with SEN students.
Knowledge & Skills: Familiarity with various learning strategies and techniques, along with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications (a Bonus!):
Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools.
First Aid Training Certification – because safety is key!
Additional SEN Qualifications in special education or child development will set you apart!
