Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a new role in September 2024?

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated LSA to join a lovely school in Hackney starting in September 2024.

You will be required to work from 8:45 - 3:45, every day during term time.

This role is due to run until July 2025 but there is potential for the best candidates, you will then be offered a permanent role at the school.

As a learning support assistant, you will be working on a 1:1 basis with children across the school to ensure the best possible progress is being made. You will predominantly be working with children with additional need like ASD or ADHD.

The children you are working with are capable of independent work and accessing the curriculum but may need support breaking down it down into terms they can understand.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and a natural aptitude for finding ways to explain things in terms your children grasp quickly.

Requirements:

  • Sound understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and a team player.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
