We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our team and work in various primary schools. As an LSA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and social development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, providing individual and group support to students.
  • Special Educational Needs: Work with children with special educational needs, adapting activities to meet their individual needs and ensuring they have access to the curriculum.
  • Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, managing behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Learning Activities: Support the planning and delivery of learning activities, including preparing resources and setting up learning spaces.
  • Pastoral Care: Offer emotional and social support to students, fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Communication: Liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' progress and well-being.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred. Experience with SEN children is a strong advantage.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to different school environments and work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
