Learning Support Assistant

As a LSA, your duties will include: providing support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting, assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), supporting the classroom teacher in creating a positive learning environment and monitoring and tracking progress of students with SEN

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
  • Understanding of the UK educational system and SEN policies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Additional training in specific areas of SEN support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
