Job Duties:
- Develop and lead the English and Literacy curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards and goals for students with EHCP.
- Create engaging lesson plans and educational materials to enhance students' language and literacy skills.
- Monitor and evaluate students' progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve academic success
- Collaborate with other educators and school staff to promote a cohesive and effective learning environment
- Organise and participate in literacy events, workshops, and activities to foster a passion for reading and writing among students
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Demonstrated experience in teaching English and literacy to students of varying abilities including SEMH.

- Master's degree in Education or related field
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment
- Additional certification in literacy instruction
Working Conditions:
The role of Leader of English and Literacy involves working within a SEN school environment, collaborating with students, teachers, and other staff members. The position requires full-time commitment during regular school hours, with occasional participation in evening events or workshops.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
