Job Duties:
The KS1 Class Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to primary school students. They will create a positive learning environment, assess student progress, and provide feedback to students and parents. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and participate in school events and meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Key Stage 1 students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and differentiate instruction
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
- Ability to use a variety of teaching strategies to engage students
- Proficient in classroom management techniques
- Good understanding of assessment and feedback practises
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Additional training in special educational needs (SEN) or behaviour management
Working Conditions:
The KS1 Class Teacher will work in a primary school setting. They will follow the school's academic calendar and work full-time hours during term time. The teacher may be required to attend school events, meetings, and professional development sessions outside of regular hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
