Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and interactive lessons for Key Stage 1 students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and school leadership
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and personal development of each student
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement effective teaching strategies and interventions
  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1 students
  • Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a Key Stage 1 setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Excellent classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school setting with Key Stage 1 students. The teacher will be expected to work regular school hours and participate in extracurricular activities as required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
