Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 1 and 2 students
  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes student learning and wellbeing
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1 and 2 curriculum
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Key Stage 1 and 2

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Passion for teaching and supporting student development
  • Approachable and supportive towards students, colleagues, and parents
  • Enthusiastic about creating engaging and inclusive learning environments
  • Patient and understanding in addressing student needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Additional training or certifications in specific teaching methodologies

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time contract position
  • Normal working hours with occasional evening or weekend commitments
  • Classroom-based teaching with opportunities for outdoor and extracurricular activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
