We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our team and help support the technology needs of our clients.
Job Description:
As an IT Technician at Protocol Education, you will play a key role in supporting the technology infrastructure of the schools and educational institutions we work with. You will provide technical support, maintain systems, and ensure seamless day-to-day IT operations, ensuring that technology is effectively supporting teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to schools and educational clients.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems.
- Set up, configure, and deploy computer systems and peripherals.
- Ensure smooth and efficient operation of all IT systems, including networks and servers.
- Offer user support for staff and students, assisting with software and hardware issues.
- Conduct regular system checks, updates, and security patches.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of audio-visual and classroom technologies.
- Document and track issues and resolutions, ensuring timely follow-up and completion.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Experience with hardware setup, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of networking, including LAN/WAN, routers, and firewalls.
- Ability to provide effective, clear communication to users with varying technical skill levels.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of IT security practices is desirable.
- Experience in the education sector is a plus but not required.
