Humanities Teacher
Join our thriving Humanities Department and contribute to the delivery of History, Geography, Religious Studies (RS), and Personal Development to Key Stage 3 students. We offer compulsory RS at GCSE, as well as History and Geography at both GCSE and A-level. The timetable will be flexible to accommodate the successful candidate’s specialism(s).
Responsibilities:
Understand and support the curriculum's sequencing rationale
Provide curriculum feedback in team meetings or to HoF/HoD or KS Coordinator
Ensure high levels of challenge and support for all learners
Utilize knowledge organizers and review activities
Promote inclusivity and representation
Equip learners for further studies
Secure excellent teaching and learning outcomes
Apply principles in classroom practice
Enhance subject-specific teaching strategies
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons
Implement effective AfL strategies
Set and assess regular homework
Provide feedback in line with school policy
Achieve excellent outcomes for all learners, including disadvantaged and SEN students
Maintain high standards in learners’ work
Deliver high-quality feedback to learners
Foster enjoyment and relevance of the subject
Support learners with timely in-class intervention
Promote learner confidence and aspiration
Reward effort and progress fairly
Teach a curriculum that supports spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development
Implement equality, diversity, and inclusion
Promote career opportunities related to the subject
Support learners at key transition points
Lead or support extra-curricular activities
Prioritize learner safety and pass on safeguarding concerns promptly
Manage learner behaviour consistently and respectfully
Encourage full attendance for learner success
Keep parents informed of their child’s progress
Provide clear guidance to learners on improving their work
Engage with learners through the school’s marking policy
Utilize school rewards systems effectively
Rate dependant on qualifications and expierence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
