Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons in Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, exams, and projects
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification

Education:

A degree in a relevant Humanities subject

Experience:

Prior experience teaching Humanities subjects at the secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding of the National Curriculum and examination requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Organisational skills to manage workload effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in Education

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a school environment, following the school calendar and timetable. May require occasional participation in extracurricular activities or parent meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
