Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in humanities subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, exams, and class participation.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum improvements.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Degree in a relevant subject area, such as History, Geography, or Religious Studies.
  • Knowledge of the UK national curriculum for humanities subjects.

Education:

Degree in a relevant subject area.

Experience:

Previous experience teaching humanities subjects preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students in the learning process.
  • Organisational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with classrooms and other educational facilities.
  • Full-time temporary position with regular school hours.
  • Potential for involvement in extracurricular activities and school events.
