Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and work across primary schools in Castleford and the surrounding areas. As a HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting teaching staff, enhancing student learning, and contributing to the overall school community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Delivering planned lessons and educational activities in the absence of the class teacher.

- Supporting the development of students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.

- Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.

- Working with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support.

- Assisting in the assessment and tracking of student progress.

- Collaborating with teachers and other staff to develop and deliver engaging learning experiences.

- Providing feedback to teachers and participating in staff meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or similar role.

- Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent.

- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.

- Flexibility and adaptability to work in various educational settings.

- A genuine passion for education and helping students achieve their full potential.

- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
