We are seeking a proactive and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a thriving school in either Ealing or Harrow. If you are passionate about education and have the skills to support and lead learning across various age groups, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in the absence of the class teacher, following pre-set plans and ensuring continuity of learning.
- Support the planning and delivery of lessons alongside teaching staff, providing innovative ideas and resources.
- Work with individual students and small groups to deliver targeted interventions and support their learning needs.
- Assist in monitoring and assessing pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback to staff and parents.
- Help manage classroom behavior, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the wider school community, supporting events, activities, and extracurricular opportunities.
Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role within a school setting.
- Proven experience working with children in primary or secondary education, with the confidence to lead whole-class lessons.
- Strong understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
