Job Title: History Teacher

Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in History to students.
- Develop and implement engaging teaching strategies to meet the educational needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the History curriculum.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
- Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Degree in History or a related field.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum for History.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in History or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching History at secondary school level.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of historical events and concepts.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Proficient in using educational technology in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education.
- Experience teaching History up to A-Level standard.
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily takes place in a classroom setting.
- May require participation in school events outside of regular hours.
- Interaction with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
