Role Overview:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you’ll be a superhero in the classroom, stepping up to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons ‍♀️‍♂️ when the class teacher is away. You’ll make each day exciting and educational, creating a supportive, safe, and fun learning environment for a group of eager Year 2 students. This role is perfect for a motivated HLTA with a love for teaching and a big smile to share with the class each day! ✨

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Lessons: Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence, keeping students focused, learning, and having fun!
  • Support Learning: Provide one-on-one support and group guidance to ensure all students feel confident and included .
  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive classroom vibe, managing behavior effectively while encouraging teamwork and respect .
  • Collaborate: Team up with the Year 2 teacher to support lesson planning and student progress, sharing feedback and ideas to make lessons even better .
  • Assess and Track: Help assess students' learning, tracking their progress and providing valuable insights ✏️.

About You:

We’re looking for a confident, caring, and creative HLTA who’s ready to lead lessons and inspire young learners every day! You’ll have experience working in a primary school setting and be comfortable covering lessons, ideally with knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with primary school students, especially in Key Stage 1
  • Strong communication skills
  • Classroom management and organization skills ️

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
