Job Duties:

  • Supporting teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons
  • Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students
  • Providing one-to-one support for students with special educational needs
  • Supervising students during activities and breaks
  • Assessing and recording student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
  • First Aid certification

Education:

Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

Experience:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning processes
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in special educational needs support
  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment, providing support to teachers and students. The hours are full-time, and the role may involve some flexibility in working hours based on school requirements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
