Are you passionate about student development, with a proven track record in pastoral care? We are looking for an experienced colleague to join our team, someone ready to make a real difference to our Year 8 cohort. As a non-teaching Head of Year, you’ll lead with empathy, energy, and commitment, working closely with an inspiring Assistant Headteacher to support and nurture our students. If you are driven by progress and passionate about guiding young people, this is the perfect role for you. The Heads of Year are a close and strong team and are an integral part of the wider schools leadership.
As Head of Year 8, you will take on key responsibilities in supporting the personal and academic development of our students. You’ll be instrumental in driving up standards and ensuring each student feels supported and motivated to achieve their best. Working with the existing pastoral team, you’ll lead initiatives that promote positive behaviour, well-being, and engagement, while also playing a crucial role in our students' success and happiness.
We are seeking a candidate who has significant experience in pastoral work, with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of student well-being. You should be ready to collaborate effectively, lead with passion, and contribute to the growth of our school community. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
