Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons to girls in accordance with the national curriculum
  • Assess students' physical abilities and track their progress
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sporting activities and events
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in Physical Education
  • Enhanced DBS check

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum for physical education
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for promoting physical fitness and wellbeing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Physical Education
  • Experience coaching sports teams

Working Conditions:

The role involves working on a temporary basis with full-time hours. The teacher will be based in a school setting, delivering physical education to girls aged between 11-16. Some extracurricular activities and events may require evening or weekend work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
