Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our team in North East England, specifically County Durham, Darlington. As a member of our dynamic and supportive school community, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive geography lessons to secondary school students. Your role will involve creating lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to foster their academic development.
Job Duties:
- Deliver high-quality geography lessons to secondary school students
- Create and implement effective lesson plans
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Contribute to the development of the geography curriculum
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Geography or related field
- Experience teaching geography at the secondary level
- Strong classroom management skills
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field
- Proven experience teaching geography to secondary school students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum for geography
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education
- Experience in using technology in the classroom
- Participation in continuous professional development in education
Working Conditions:
You will work full-time hours on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position based on performance. The school offers a supportive environment for professional growth and development. The salary range is £150 - £230 per day, with no umbrella fees (PAYE).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
