Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated General Teacher/Cover Supervisor to join our team at a secondary school in Middlesbrough.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to deliver engaging and informative lessons to students, manage classroom behaviour, and provide cover supervision for absent teachers. You will also have the chance to assist with extracurricular activities and events, contributing to the overall school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and informative lessons to students, following the national curriculum
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a conducive learning environment for all students
- Provide cover supervision for absent teachers, following school policies and procedures
- Assist with extracurricular activities and events, contributing to the overall school community
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable but not essential
- Minimum of 1 year experience in teaching or cover supervision in a secondary school
- Degree in Education or relevant subject
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and work independently as well as part of a team
- Understanding of the national curriculum and effective classroom management techniques
- Additional teaching certifications are a plus

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
