Job Description:

We are seeking a Fully Qualified Science Teacher to join our team in South Benfleet, Essex. As a key member of our educational institution, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education to students in a stimulating and engaging manner.

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver science lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through regular tests and assignments
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment in the classroom
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent)
  • Full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Science or a related field

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching science at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for science education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience in preparing students for exams and assessments
  • Experience with educational technology and online learning platforms

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, with regular school hours and additional responsibilities such as staff meetings and extracurricular activities. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
